Useful Commands

Command Description
AUDIT Will fix any errors within the .DWG, can fix the “one or more objects cannot be saved…” problem.
MAPCLEAN Clean up the drawing/delete zero length objects/remove duplicates/etc.
OVERKILL Remove duplicate objects.
PURGE Purge objects/data from the drawing.
CLIPIT Clip an image to a polyline.
COPYTOLAYER Copy objects to another layer.
ACEATTACHDATA Attach data to objects
MAPEXPORT Export DSpec objects to .mif/.tab
TEXTMASK Add background mask to text
LAYMRG Merge AutoCAD layers
OSNAPZ Set to 1 to ignore elevations when snapping to objects (default = 0)
DIVIDE Divides selected object into evenly sized lengths
DYNMODE Setting to 0 stops commands from appearing next to the cursor/crosshair
FLATTEN Convert 3D to 2D objects (and ungroup multiple objects).
_MAPTRIM Trim all objects within a selected (or defined) boundary. Unsure if this works for Feature Lines.
VISUALSTYLES Open the Visual Styles Manager, where you can use the Highlight Intensity setting under Lighting, in your selected Visual Style to modify how bright the object viewer’s surface lighting is.
TRIMEXTENDMODE Set to 0 when the Extend command is in quick mode (1). When in standard mode (0), you may select the boundaries first, then the object to extend.
MAPSTATUSBAR Show or Hide the Map status bar (access to projection library)
MINIMUMDISTBETWEENSURFACES Draws a 3D polyline along intersections of two surfaces
EDITFEATURECURVE Allows you to delete a curve from feature lines.
_POINT Create a non-COGO point. Use this for ASPEC stuff.
INPUTSEARCHOPTIONS Customise the auto-complete options for command suggestions.
INPUTSEARCHDELAY Change the delay before command suggestions are shown.
RENAME Rename blocks, or any named object.
ZC Zoom Centre – Use to manually set coordinates of a viewport. Good for making viewports across multiple layouts consistently positioned.
LINEWORKSHRINKWRAP Draws a shrink-wrapped outline around any collections of contiguous linework entities. Note: 3D Faces (and probably other 3D objects) throws it off.
IMAGEQUALITY Change the quality of Raster Images. Set to High to turn on Anti-Aliasing (smoothing, eg. When zoomed in), or Draft to turn AA off.
