Adding Scale Bars in Paper Space

1. In Paper Space, under the Layout Tools tab, click the Scale Bar dropdown in the Layout Elements panel.

2. In the Scale Bar dropdown window, select the scale bar you wish to use (e.g. ScaleBar1_Metric).

3. Select the viewport you wish to link the scale bar to.

4. A Scale Bar Properties window should pop up:

   1. Scale bar division defines the spacing of the scale bar’s “ticks” in model-space measurements (e.g. metres). Use this to define the size of the scale bar on your page.

   2. Scale ratio should match your viewport’s scale.

   3. Click OK when you’re done.

5. Click to position your scale bar within your page.

Note: To modify your scale bar after the fact, you can select it and a spanner button should appear to the right of it. Click this to access Scale Bar Properties or link it to another viewport.
